it explains on the site. Basically, yes it is a really good idea to get pro. You will have a lot better logs to go on when tuning. You can't even directly do A/F without it I believe. Just remember to log all that stuff is going to require even more investment for the sensors.

Make sure you have a fast laptop too. Nothing ancient.

You should get the Pro version if you can afford it, as it makes logging anything outside of factory parameters very easy. You could easily do A/F and EGT, where with the basic one you have to splice into wires and trick the car into reading differently to make it work.

I'm running HPT pro on a IBM 570E. The copyright on the back is 1999 lol. It's a 450 mhz PIII with 128 MB or ram running windows XP pro. Aside from taking a couple seconds to load histograms HPT runs great on my laptop. I will grant you that when logging into the laptop I'm at 100% CPU usage, and therefore the laptop get's somewhat hot after a while. That doesn't really affect anything though so I'm not worried.

The reason I say this is because I only paid $80 for my laptop, I bought it specifically for tuning. You may want a faster laptop, but an very cheap one will work just fine as well .

Well i was just thinking, can i download or somehow get a tuning code for the members that have the same mods i do and if so how would i be able to do that. Also i heard that there was a way to turn the bosst down in certain gears, is it pretty easy to do that.
