HP Tuners Question!

HP tuners support for the Ion Redline and Cobalt SS will be out in Beta within a week or so now. I was wondering who is planning on ordering besides me? Also I am figuring that the stage kit flash would be a better place to start than the stock tune. I was wondering if anyone who is ordering (that has the stage kit) could put up their Stage 1 or 2 BIN file so I could use it.

Thanks, Dom

If I could get a real tune I would make my own stage 2 kit, IMO why would we need things like the MAF-T or AFC if we could actually tune it. Just get a pully, injectors and a belt from GM STG 2 and youll be set.

Its cause it will be a good starting point for further tuning and it is known to be safe.

Exactly, once I get the software in a week or so the GM stage 2 is a much better place to start. Also A guy named horist created the BIN repository awhile back and he is going to add our cars to the database. It is a place to share BIN files.

The files are called hpt files now in 2.x...

I already have the cable/interface and am just waiting on the update.

While it would be nice to see the GM tune for stage 1 I am planning to go above and beyond that. After all they make compromises for reliability.

Yeah, I would just rather use the Stage Tune as a starting point as it is closer to where I want to be than the Stock Tune.

Nice. So do we know how much this is going to be? And do we tune it ourselves and upload it into the car? does it come with preset calibrations?
