hp tuners ?s

alright ive done upgrades to cars before but this is going to be my first time tuning my car

im planning on getting hp tuners because i guess its one of the most reliable tuning devices

but i need some help understanding some of it

im guessing its best to get the professional gm edition

but when it says you get 8 credits and can tune up to 4 cars... with the credits does it mean that i use credits every time i tune my car??? even if its the same car???

No. 2 credits unlock a single vehicle, 6 credits unlock a vehicle's year.

Hands down the best way to learn is by registering on HPTuners forums and searching/posting questions. I was lucky enough to meet a local HPT pro and learned off of him. But he learned from posting on the HPT boards. I didn’t have a CLUE how to tune using the software and now I can tune the basic parameters of my truck and I understand a lot of what Charlie (my tuner) does.

The biggest mistake you can make is not buying the software and learning on your own. I will never ever go back to doing mail order tunes.

I don't know why HPTuners came up with that credits deal, it's confusing as hell. But if you want max performance from your car, you need to tune it, especially if you're making mods. I've got a good friend who has been tuning for years and he's going to help me. I plan to buy the software as soon as I have the bucks. Everyone I talk to about tuning says get the software, learn how to use it and make small changes till you get the hang of it. I think that's good advice.
