HPTuners Worth It?

Hey guys with the mods that are in my sig, I was just wondering if you thought I should grab the hp tuners and start doing some custom tuning myself. Everyone says the stage 2 kit runs really rich, so I figured maybe I could lean it out a tad. Let me know.

I am also thinking about going to nates 2.9inch pulley however, will I need new injectors? Because if I need 60lbers, I am going to grab a 2.8inch pulley and 60lbers, but I really really, dont want to do this until my warrenty is voided haha. I have the bug!!

What cooling mods are good for these cars? I know there is the cobra heat exchanger, what else is there. Is there anything brand new, h/e wise that I can buy that is better?

Thanks for your time guys.
Zach.

If you have never used HP tuners, then I would definitely have someone (with experience) to either help you or teach you. It is not exactly cliff notes for modding motors. Also, if you are going to go with the smaller pully, you should get the 2.8 with the 60#s. Then tune it with you the HP Tuners. Quite a few people have meth as a cooling mod. They all swear by it, but then again you have to tune for it.

So how does this sound then guys.

I will keep the stage 2 kit, until I get tired of it and get myself a 2.8inch pulley and 60lbers with meth injection. Then if anything happens, I will put the gm stage 2 kit back on, and be under warranty. Does this sound reasonable?

Thanks for your guys time and opinions. I am sure I can have someone near the chicago area teach me how to use HPTuners as I am very very knowledgeable with computers. I may have never tuned a car before, but I am a very very quick learner with things in general.

Thanks again guys.
Zach.
