Hurst or B&M?

Been thinking about buying a STS but had some questions.
How much shorter then stock are the shifters?
Is there a big diff in the shifting?

its about an inch, to inch and a half shorter. i have the B&M one on my redline. MY opinion, the B&M one looks better and i like it much better than stock... just my .02

I think the B&M has a better reputation. If you want it real short...then your best option will be to get the B&M and check out the "how-to" thread on making the B&M even shorter. That is the route I went, and I have incredibly short throws

Except that how two shorten the throw on the wrong side of the pivot point making only the shifter shorter, not the throw...

Both!! lol I have a Hurst at the moment, and Ive felt the B&M and I will say the hurst seems to have a lil bit shorter throw, but I do now like the B&M... ive had my Hurst for like 7 months, and when I get into one of the other cobalts that has the B&M, I like how it feels diff. The hurst feel's like it's there to race.... the B&M feels like it was made with the car....
