Hurst short throw
Is there a way to adjust the short throw from hurst? I got it all in and it really doesnt seem any shorter then my stock one.
True...unless ur shifter is 2 ft. tall. At that point, shortening the height would also shorten the throw. But we drive cobalts, not Kenworths, so that's not an issue lol

it actually does but nothing so big its worth doing if your just shorting it. its all in th linkages.
i just think a short shifter looks cool cuz its shorter.
like this guy said. it helps a little. nothing noticable.
only reason id go aftermaket is when my breaks. which i feel is soon cuz the shift patter is kinda loose lol

I hate my hurst, it twists for some reason i guess because of the set screw that comes with it isn;t big enoguh, and its hard to get into 2nd gear sometimes
i thought about putting my stock one back in, it felt more solid

you can easily fix that, take the screw out and clean the threads of the hole and the screw (i simply used a little alcohol) the re-apply some loctite and make sure you let it set for at least 20-30mins before driving. I actually did this in the evening and let it set overnight and i have had zero problems with it since.
take it a part and tighten the set screw and put the locktyte it comes in the kit in there..it will lock it up..no more twist i have the same prb just too lazy to re do it =p
and just saying..mine is a noticably shorter..it shifty gears much quicker =] me like..
