The only difference and the reason behind running H1 is exactly that. Hydrogen has a molecular weight of 1 and oxygen O2 a molecular weight of 16. So basically what it does is on hot and cold days the tire pressure does not change with temp. is it really worth it well its up to you.

cheers

Supposedly it also increases gas mileage....but who knows..

mostly due to the reasoning that flatter tires get you lower gas mileage, if you make sure to keep your tires pressurized to the right amounts with air, then there would be no difference.

I could see that only since the actual pressure wouldnt change, aka you could put the maximum amount of psi for best mileage and it would most likely stay static, unlike oxygen which changes rapidly with temp.

I was just about to say that Hydrogen/Nitrogen (yes there are both) Is such a joke and just a fad to get you to spend money. Walmart here uses hydrogen.

Nitrogen

Nitrogen does help when the tire is properly inflated with 92% or more of nitrogen. 92% or more is require to recieve +/-1% tire pressure fluctuation while driving.

The air we put in our tires concist of 78% Nitrogen, which leaves 22% the rest of Oxygen and other molecules effected by friction (Heat) being that Nitrogen is a bigger molecule not effected by hot/cold conditions unlike the smaller molecule oxygen that is greatly effected by hot and cold conditions.

BIGGEST BENIFIT TO NITROGEN IS NO INTERNAL TIRE DRY ROT. this is why your tires have increased life. Oxygen retains moisture (condensation) where nitrogen does not.

Another huge benifit is for those that have chrome wheels, with less condensation your wheel will peal less. Anyone who has ever mounted tires in there life knows about pealed chrome wheels and the pain in the ass it can be to have to take a wiz wheel to grind it all of so teh bead of the tire seats properly.

I am a Lexus Engineer for Lexus, division of Toyota and all Lexus cars 2008+ Come with nitrogen in there tires (past a certian production date)

Nitrogen is also very effective for peoples vehicles that have T.I.M.S (Tire inflation monitor system) With cold weather causing the molecules in oxygen to be closer together, the result is lower tire pressure and the more chance of your T.I.M.S to flash a light on your guage cluster.

In the result of high speed performance there is a great benifit to nitrogen knowing that you have a constant tire pressure. Nascar, F1, Road Racing, X-Cross, Pro Street, even bicicles for the tour de france use Nitrogen in thier tires.

Lets say your car tells you to set your cold tire pressure to 33 PSI, you drive it to a gas station, adjust your tires to 33 PSI, then drive home, in the morning you decide to check your tires and its at 30, your like WTF! its because on your way to the gas station you heated up your tires/wheels by friction caused on the road you drive on which leads to friction which leads to heat which leads to molecules expanding which leads to higher tire pressure!

So who ever says nitrogen does not do anything, is not properly informed.

Hope this awnsered your questions.
