Sure it can. Actually, I need just about all of those features, but I haven't seen the Hypertech model yet. I checked Hypertechs site and they don't show it as a model available. And you're right, that is a bit expensive.

I need the rev limiter and shift point adjustment for my 2.2 because I have the Bates engineering valve springs that give me a new red line of 7500 RPM. The speed limiter and tire sizer are handy too. I can do the tire sizing with GM, but to do it myself would be nicer.

Don't be a moron and adjust your RPM limit. The factory has that there for a reason. Just wait till stage 2 and it will be safe to rev to 6,700... There's really no need to rev into the red, it just hurts your engine......

Anyone who says a programmer is useless thinks they can do much better with full tuning equipment but in reality they can't.

Not to mention if this was available for our cars it would be sweet. The hyperpac is a programmer / G-Tech meter all in one. SEMA thought it was good enough to win some awards.

I hope you know I wasn't talking about "halfcent." I was talking to Jmc007 with the 2.0 SS/SC. The only use that thing has would be the five programs it comes with, "Performance" "Drag strip" "Dynamometer" "Engine Monitor" and "Diagnostics." And that would only be necessary if you had serious mods, otherwise it’s just a waste of money. You can change shift points and shift firmness, well since we have a manual that's down the tube. RPM Limit, the dealer has that on the SS for a reason and taking it off WILL void your warranty because something is GOING to go wrong, that's why GM installed it in the first place. Top speed, the SS is drag limited, not electronically, meaning that wind forces at ~145mph and stopping the car's acceleration, not the computer. Tire Size & Gear Ratios, well unless you're installing the tires on your rims yourself, the Tire Shop will recalibrate your speedometer / odometer (Federal Law). Cooling Fan On/Off Points, if it aint broke don't fix it. The cooling system works so good in the SS that in many of the drag and phase 5 Cobalt's, GM Racing maintained the stock cooling system, enough said.

Thats why I added " if it was available " to my post.

And most high dollar programmers leave no footprints in the stock ECM after they are removed.

Would be best to email Hypertech now wouldn't it?

Wouldn't suprise me if you could use this on a Cobalt and as far as not being useful, it is to people with modifications. You can get a very mild boost in hp from a tune up that Hypertech would provide to get the most power on 87 octane or 91-93 octane fuel.

Contact Hypertech Im sure they can answer any question you have.

hyper tech is over rated. get the piggy back ecu, like the apexi asfc controller a greddy e-manage, hptuners software for a good tune, or take it to a place that can dyno tune. all hyper tech stuff has pretuned software and will o nly benifit stock cars so if you have a good amount of mods it wont help u as much.
