ok i just got this car. The guy hasnt sent out my title yet.its going on 30 days. im kinda getting nervous. Ive asked this guy numerous of times if the titles clean. and he has said yes. Now what if i finally get the title and it ends up not being clean. Can i take him to court and fight this???

ive requested him to send me a bill of sale with info of the car on there and his info. And i had him guarantee me a clean title. So i hope he sends me this

ya well if i find out its salvaged im going down to tampa, fl and kicking his damn @$$. then ill take his @$$ to court

i did do a carfax and it didnt say anything bad about the car. If it had a salvaged title it would state on carfax correct?

 

more than likly, however on my cobalt it had 8k in damages and you never would have been able to tell unless i told you

 

If he told you it has a clean title and it in fact isnt. Then you should get a lawyer involved because him telling you that its clean is in fact a binding "Verbal Contract," which is just a good as a signed written one. I learned that in a law class I took.

 

when u have an acciendent they require you to send the acciended report to secretary of state WITH ur VIN number so they can put the accident on your car,and be able to have it in the carfax record...i had 4 accidents on my first car,and they ran a carfax and it was clean

 

hmmm doesnt carfax guarantee their reports?? Say some1 does a carfax and it states the car is clean. And somehow down the road that person finds out it was in multiple of accidents, cant that person complain to carfax?? Dont they have a buy it back program or something??

 

this is like a friend of mine with a 02 passat he bought it and a month later i was helping him install a system in it, and while running wires i noticed a weld in the center of the car on the floor board, so i checked it out more and noticed the weld was going from one side to the other so im guessing he has the back half of another passat, and now its too late

 

they do have a buy back for couple of days,but not sure how long..might even be weeks...and they really cant tell u if car was hit or not since they havent received any accident reports so they cant really put it on the cars Vin number...


they do tell u that ur lisence will be suspended if u dont send it within 7 days of the accident,and most people do because they think it will actually happen....i never sent it and my lisence hasnt been suspened at all, and this happened bout 3 yrs ago,if not longer..wat i would do is when u get the car,take it to carmax and have them do there little search..they might pull something out..

also look for weird feelings on the paint...usually on the top edge of the hood by the wipers...run ur finger around there and if it feels rough than the car got a new hood and was painted,which might mean it was in a accident..
