I Got A Question With The Cel

i mean i dont have my cobalt ss yet but i heard cel coming on alot so i hear if people dont disconnect the battery there not getting the cel as much but shouldnt u disconnect it so it gets programed into the ecu??? sorry its just confusing cause i heard someone saying if u dont disconnect it then the ecu thinks that like lets say ur cai is stock. and how could u make the cel turn off if say it comes on cause then my car wont pass inspection... even though its brand new

Damn take a prozac...

Most ppl are getting CEL's form their CAI...Disconnecting the batt. doesn't do much to these cars except set the CEL for "loss of power"...You shouldn't have to worry about inspection for a while, and get a scan guage and you can reset the CEL's...

If you get a CEL from your aftermarket intake, unplugging the battery isn't going to fix it. All it does is reset the PCM memory and cause two CEL's.
