I need help ASAP!!!
Hey guys, I'm in the process of building my engine and we are having problems with the timing chain tensioner. We think that there is a piece missing on the end where the spring is. Is there anyone that can help me out? Is there a metal tip that sits on the end of the spring or is there a small shaft? Me and my friends are trying to figure it out but its got us stumped.
If anyone seriously knows anything about this please call me at 251-223-3666
Thanks!
Vince.

Well we didn't have any luck in finding the other piece of the tensioner. So I guess we will have to hit up NAPA in the morning and see if they have one. If they don't then I'm screwed. I've got everything else I need to get my car back on the road, but that one part I don't have. I did find out from talking to Paul, which I should of realized this, is that a 2.2 L Ecotec tensioner will also work. So maybe a parts store will have one around here in stock for in the morning so I can drive my car home tomorrow night....we'll see.

Well after an intense search of the work area, the missing piece of the timing chain tensioner cannot be found. We have decided to call it quits and I am about to head back to Foley from Tuscaloosa, which is a 4 1/2 hour drive. My friends are going to try to put the rest of the motor together and get it running this week, but I guess now I should be able to get my Stage IV clutch put in this week instead of later, if it comes in....
I did manage to get my 2.7 pulley put back on and to do the dual bypass end plate modifications....which was a good thing because there was ALOT of oil in the intake manifold that had to be cleaned out and I found bits and pieces of piston stuck on the laminova tubes.
All and all it has been a screwed up week for me and now I am pretty much broke. I think now it has been so long since I've had my car, I don't even care if it runs again. I'll just keep making payments on it for it to sit up here in Tuscaloosa and I'll just bum rides for the rest of my life.

Okay, Bully Stage IV clutch is here. Everything looks good except that the whole thing is carbon, which is what I didn't want. But I guess it will do. I have pics of the engine assembly, enjoy!

I know that the valve cover looks a little orange, but it is Ford Red....takes time for the paint to dry. Engine goes in the car today and will be finished up on Friday.

And just think, I am still leasing this car!!!! Not for long though...
Hopefully the engine goes in smooth. Now I just need my HP Tuners should be here Monday. And Paul, I will definately need your tuning help. You have a tune to get me close with a 2.7 and 10:1 compression laying around?!?! I am gonna start out with an Intense Stage IV PCM with 7 percent extra fuel on the PE table to start. Should be enough to get me home to Foley.
Going with the 2.7 inch pulley for now....I need to start another thread with the pics.
