I have been trying to get my stage 2 pulley off for months now, and am unable to do it. I finally took it to a shop to just pay them to do it, and they can't either. A while back I bought a few bits that are the same pattern as the stage 2 screws, but the bits were just some **** the guy bought at the hardware store. Not the ACTUAL bits that came with the stage 2 kit.

So does anyone know where I can buy the ACTUAL bit that comes with the stage 2 kit for taking out the screws? Can I buy it from GM, or one of the vendors on this site? Or is anyone here willing to sell me their official GM stage 2 bit?

They didn't give you the bit at the dealer after they where done with the install ?

 

Unfortunately I bought the car with stage 2 already installed, and the previous owner didn't give me the tools

 

i ran into the same problem trying to get those bolts off. i had a GM stage 2 hub and pulley pressed on and no one had the tool for the bolts. What i finaly did was take the supercharger off and drilled the bolts alittle and used easy outs to get those damn bolts out. Its worked great!

 

^^^Ultimately, I will probably have to do that. I'm just a lazy bastard and don't want to take the supercharger off.. Thank you for the tip though!

 

I had my bit bust into 3 pieces trying to get the bolts off. Take the SC off, it's only 4 bolts, there is a how to, in the how to section. Get a 3/8 inch drill bit and start drilling in the center of the bolts, the head of the bolt will come off, once all 4 are off, tap the pulley off and use a pair of plyers to take the stub of the bolt off, its very easy.

 

If interested I have an extra tool.

anyone got one for sale i need badly ok heres the story short and sweet. Theres another cobaltss/sc that has stage 2 on it and did have a 50 dry shot and i beat him by half a car from 40-140, now he has a wet shot either a 100 or 125 or something b/c now ive heard he can catch dohc cobras in 2nd now witch is impressive and i have already ordered injectors and am getting a test pipe i just need the tool to take off my stg2 pulley i alredy have the pulley i am just hoping it doesnt have loktite on it ya know so any help would be greatly apprecieated.
