No one sells cams for the LSJ. You need to get a regrind on your stock cams. GM sold some limited production cams, but I'm sure those are long gone, so your only option is a regrind. I got mine done from Crane Cams. They had great customer service and really helped me out. Its a shame they went out of business

I thought JBP made those triflow cams for the LSJ... Are those regrinds, I was going to look into getting some but not sure what I wanted to get yet.

the old jbp cams were ****. i dont know about their new design yet. there is a lot involved doing cams in these cars. most have failed and broken valvetrain, others have recognized the issues before they broke it.

I dont see how these would be ****? They might be a bitch to put in but jesus that duration is crazy compared to stock. Unless my numbers are off I thought that is what I read.

ok that doesnt help **** saying I read them wrong. How did I read them wrong? Please tell the correct information. Is it because of the 265/256@ .05 as opposed to stock?

I have some good stock cams if you need a core to send out and have ground to avoid downtime, i'll let them go cheap.

The JPB cams are, well, unproven. Nobody has used them and made any real power. Any cam out there for these cars is a regrind, so you will need to do something with the factory lash adjusters, either shim them (carries the risk of the shims popping out and causing real damage), or get solid ones (requires periodic valve adjustment and expensive), but you can't run the stock ones on regrinds, be they 272 or similar, GMRs or JBP regrinds.

stock duration for intake is 196.5 @ 1mm lash

stock duration for exhaust is 191.7 @1mm lash

stock intake valve timing is 100

stock exhaust valve timing is -115

you were mixing the valve timing and duration specs

the stock cam is not getting in the way of you making power, thus, no need.

why give up perfect idle and drive ability for something that'll bump you 7hp on the top end yet drop your mean curve numbers by 15hp.
