Iat question

Might be a noob question. What are considered normal iat and iat2.
What is considered high temps. Thanks

Also off topic on my question but how do I check my engine light code on my interceptor? I know how to get into the menu but can't seem to find where to check the engine light at. Thanks again

I think normal is iat2 up to 25 deg above iat1 when cruising but it has been a while since my interceptor has worked so just going off a memory.

To read your CEL form your interceptor
Push both buttons,
you get a menu
Push the left button to scroll down to GET CODES
then push the right button.
You should get your codes. Write them down.
If you want to reset them do the same thing, only
select Clear codes. (The option after get)
Not sure about IAT2s though,
Ive seen mine anywere from 120 - 145 on a hot day.
I live in Southern ALabama.

generally below 140 = ok. alot varies based on ambient temp and how you are driving the car. ideally you want to be within 30 of ambient when cruising. obviously if you are idling in traffic or doing back-to-back w0t pulls its gonna be way hotter than while cruising on the freeway.

if you are seeing temps of 180+ it's a good bet your h/e pump **** the bed.

What this guy said......my iat2 was up to 180-215 on wot and found out my pump crapped out.....took it apart and knocked the crap out of the inside and put it back together and now i see temps like 150ish on wot....it has been in the 90's here lately and high humidity....I see like 105-120 cruising on highway. I don't have a front mount...just stock h/e and dual pass with opt B.

So will it be normal to have iat-100 and ait2-150-160? Just cruising. Btw its 95deg out with high muggy humity. Also which one is more important. The ait or ait2? Whats the difference between the two? Thanks again

iat2 is the important one to look at. iat1 is just the air initialy coming into the supercharger and iat2 is after it comes out of the supercharger

ya its an individual thing. if you have lots of cooling mods your temps will be lower, if its really hot outside your temps will be higher. you should get a feel for where your car is usually at and keep those numbers low

Ehhh. 150-160 is rather shitty, but it also isn't horrible considering its Cali heat. If you were cruising at 60mph or higher your temps should be lower than that. If that was just cruising around town, I think those temps are understandable in that weather. Also, what cooling mods do you have, and what pulley? Also be sure to bleed any air out of your h/e lines periodically by opening the little reservoir cap (while car is off, of course).

thats a little hot to be on a 3.0 pulley with your heat exchanger. Verify your pump is working
