Iat's to high
Iat's to high
Ok got a friend he don't post but watches on here. His iat's are 230 deg. He's got the zzp h/e 60lb injectors 2.7 pully. His pump appears to be working right so anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
Yea when my pump died i hit like 160 max lol something is wrong. If you bled it, i assume you saw the coolant moving? check the plumbing for kinks, if its plumbed wrong and if you can see the coolant moving
Yeah, I've seen mine up to 220 with dual pass, option b and ZZP stage 3 he, but I'm pretty sure my pumps fried, so I just take it easy on her for now until I can crawl under there and replace it. Maybe I'll try the hammer trick first and see howthat works out lol
Even with a 2.7 with just a heat exchanger it shouldnt go that high. With just a cobra H/E the highest I ever saw on my 2.7 M62 was 164* or something close to that, and that was a 2-3 and some or 4th gear pull
Its a bad pump or a lot of air when my pump went bad I saw 220 deg iats with the 2.7 when I replaced my pump and I had a lot of air I saw 140 now I have a kind of option b and all the air out I see under 100 ait2
My vote is bad pump. I had the same problem. It is a common problem with this pump. The pump is made by bosch and is the same pump used the the ford lightening, the mustang cobra sc, and all kompressor mercedes benz's. I have checked many forums for all those cars and they ALL complain about the ic pump failing. The pumps are only good for about 50k if you're lucky. I believe ZZP has an aftermarket pump that is better than the bosch but I gotta research that more. Also I am trying to find out if the ZR1 uses the same pump we do. If so, I know that there is an aftermarket ic pump for the ZR1. Anyway, the pump is more than likely the cause. If not, then air in the system or plumbed wrong.

I dont consider it a waste of time if I find a pump that i dont have to replace every 50k or so. And I bought mine from ford racing products. $99 incuding shipping. Best price on a new oem bosch pump anywhere.
Even with a completely dead pump I cant see iats that high. With my pump failed, 90* heat and hard driving, mine never went over 180*f and my iat reads ~20*F too hot. This is with a 2.8" pulley I think there's larger issues at work, like a non functional bypass valve.
