Exclamation IC PUMP final answer!?!?!?!?!

ok so I have heard so many ways of checking if your IC pump is good or bad but no one explains it good enough! Some say to turn your key in the "ON" position and after 10 seconds it should kit on and you should hear buzzing. Some say if you have a stock IC pump with a GM TUNE it will only come on if the car is "ON" and the engine is running! I removed my pump because I suspected it wasn't working. I read the "how to repair IC pump" article and did as it said. I replaced the brushes in the motor and hooked it up to 12v and VAAALAA I get buzzing with water pulling in and water pulling out!! So Installed it back in the car and through the 2 main trouble shooting methods I stated from above mine could be dead or could be working? So when I turn the key in the "ON" position and wait for 10 seconds I get nothing. No buzzing and no bubbling or swirling in the IC filler tube. But when the engine is running (obviously can't hear the pump with the engine running) I get bubbling and swirling in the IC filler tube and its flowing towards the driverside. So I beg you my fellow COBALTITES Please tell me if my IC pump is working or not!

I had a huge fight on here with a few guys about a month ago. i tested the power supply to the ic pump, and mine comes on 10 secs after I START the car. if I just turn the key forward w/o starting, my pump does not come on. Also, I have an opt b tank in which I have clear hose on my bleeder line. This way I can actually see when my pump turns on. Again, mine turns on 10 sec after I START the car. i believe that can be changed with hp tuners or a custom tune.

Yes, it works.

GM tune = Only turns on when car is on.

Custom tune = You can have it turn on, with key to "ON".

Not that simple.

I think it has to do with years. On my 06 the pump will run with the key in the accessory position on a stock or custom tune.

On an 05 I just worked on, it would only come on with the car started even with a custom tune.
