Idler Pulley
Does anyone know of an idler pulley you can use without grinding? I looked at intense's idler pulley but you have to grind somewhat. Doesn't BilletFlow make a 2.75 inch one that doesn't require grinding?

Yeah, because I don't want to buy a belt tensioner as of yet. I want my 2.8 inch pulley put on as soon as I recieve my stage 1 and not have it slip.

memphis go give your dealer the part number for the belt.
tell them to look it up in dealer world. Only costs like $44.
..And you can install it yourself, not to hard.
here is the part #:12597993
i always figure...if your going to do it, get the best thats out there. I think the S2 belt is the best solution to solving belt slip over a larger idler pulley, although it's pretty much the same concept

lol I don't know if I can wait that long....There was one guy that knew someone at the dealership and had the guy call up GM and tell them that he ripped his belt. If they didn't fix it with in a certain amount of time they would put his car in the category of "lemon". It seemed to work for him but I don't want to go through all of that trouble.

ZZperformance has an adjustable bracket for the pulley. You can adjust it to run from stock to below 2.5 if you like. I have one in mine running a 2.8.

^^Yeah but I can't afford it (even though it's only $100). $30-40 is what I can afford. I only make $7 an hour....about 99/100 of it goes to insurance and gas. By the end of the week I have about $10 to myself. It sucks lol. I just spent all my mod money too. I saved that up for 3 years. Still have money for a clutch though, about $1600 but that's specifically for the clutch and I'm not about to start spending that money since my clutch is not that great anymore.

The $$$ you spend on that one idler pulley, by the time it will take you to save up to get the adjustable pulley, you'll want to slap on a different sized underpulley and will have to spend another $30-40 to get another undersized pulley.

I would, its adjustable from factory size (incase you need to take it in for warranty work) all the way to 2.5 and below (anything smaller than 2.5 and you over-spin the blower).
