Im looking to run a 13.9 1/4 mile

So far i have gm stage 2, k and n drop in filter and vibrant 3" exhaust. Right now im running 14.4 1/4 mile times. Yeah pretty slow, im not the best driver i have only been out to the track 3 times in my cobalt. If i put on a zzp dual pass plate is it safe to run a 2.9 pully with my set up? And can someone PLEASE explain to me what the option "b" is!? Thank you.

You should be able to run a 13.9 right now. Go out and practice driving.

^^^^^TRUE!^^^^^ Practice your launch the most!! dont dump the clutch ever you will just spin w/out slicks. lower your tire pressure to about 18lbs or so at the track and do a burnout not in the water box not needed on streer tires. Go off the tree like a normal stop light ease on the gas in first then floor it once you hit second you should be golden. Also relax have fun out there dont overly excited its you and the clock!

There are many, including me. I have not had any issues with the 2.9 on GM stage 2

ya me and bl4des b4 he got tune the 2.9 SUCKS on a stg2 tune DO NOT TAKE IT TO THE TRACK the 2.9 is faster at first but the original 77.9 (or w.e original stg2 pulley is) cuz its faster in the long run other ppl may disagree but we did a full pepsi challange and that was our conclusion

if u do shift at like 6 grand or yull already be out of your power band

lol i would but i love how loud my exhaust is. I think i just need more mods to use its full potential. haha. Is this true about the 2.9 pully? could it of been that you were having heat soak without cooling modifications?

How would a lsd not help? Soon as one tire spins faster then the other it sends power to the slower tire. It dosent matter if ur going straight or turning.

Nope, an open diff will spin wheels at exactly the same speed going straight.

The only way you're spinning one is if you have some serious mechanical problems or your track blows.
