But anyway man, if your block is toast. I'll bring the other block to my house and I'll build it right in my garage for ya. Keep me posted on the damage. I'd roll out there, but I just got home from the upstate meet and I'm exhausted and sunburnt to ****.
See that is a true friend and dedicated tuner in the scene. Don't kick a man when he's down, lend a hand and help a brother out.

that's the way it should be. I have a good engine guy I can go to for some build tips and block prep for cheap. and I do have a set of plasti-gauges somewhere. So we can do this right, or go back to stock whichever you prefer. I just hope if the block is fucked up that it's just the sleeves so I can use that for a rebuild

They are used mostly when the rotating assembly is installed.

and ive never heard of a plasti-gauge sorry? used Brand New stock bearings on the rods.

used brand new rod bolts tourqed them to gm specs

used brand new diamond pistons and stock rings. the stock rings is where i made my mistake and i did let them reseat cause i honed the walls

and it wasnt even a ******* launch paul put it up as that i was just trying to see what i could do with the newly installed turbo kit and it was from before i even rebuilt the motor

and yeah it is and i am pissed and even more pissed that someone would call me out and say i made a mistake when i didnt

thanks man and i fear it is as bad as it sounds.

I think piston number 4 let go and the bolts off the bottom of the rod either stripped or stretched themselfs and let it hit the head causing either the head gasket to go or the head to crack and or warp
Calm the hell down. You did make a mistake. Suppose to check your bearings with plastigauge regardless new or not. It's just simple insurance. Take a chill pill and RELAX. Just because you made a mistake does NOT mean get defensive. We ALL make mistakes even your father has made some. It is how OFTEN you make them. That doesn't sound like it happened often. Just your rotation assembly came loose. Small mistake within the build process, but it was costly. It's going to happen it is all part of the game.

Live and learn.

I am pretty sure Witt and my motor have 0 issues.

My car is sitting on a dealer lot getting its ass abused daily by people test driving it. It has a meth tune and hasn't seen meth in about 6 months. Still running great. I actually went and played dumb just to test drive it myself, strong as ever.

I also see and work on Al's motor almost everytime he does, has yet to also so a single issue. But I'm not gonna speak for him.

I can also guarantee you that when Dan's built motor finally gets dropped in, that thing will be craving more air from that Holset.

I really don't see how you guys are ******* up these builds, it's not rocket science. I went from barely being able to install an intake, to needing to rebuild my motor overnight.

Tear it down, see what failed and I'm sure it won't be too hard to find another block around your area cheap. Good luck man and sorry to hear the bad news.

Edit: As far as the plastigage, what the people above me forgot to mention is because all the bolts in question are torque to yield, remember to use the old bolts when using plastigage or you'll be throwing 85 dollar main bolts down the toilet.
