I'm rich bitch
Went to the dyno shop for a base line pull and wow A/F is rich. Now for my questions if was to go get the A/F issue taken care with Hp tuners would the dealer be able to tell that I have changed the standard GM stage tune. I am one that cares about the warranty so that has to stay. Also the tech said that the excess fuel was most likely the reason the line are not that smooth. Makes sense to me, how about you?
I was told, yet to be confirmed because I don't know how much this kid knows. That you cannot edit the gm tunes because they are flagged from the factory and when you edit the tune they can tell if it's been accessed.
Don't flame me, some kid that works for GM and has HPTuners told me that and he has an 05 ss like myself.

you can get a custom tune and store the stock tune. if you need to go back to the dealer, they *can* tell that you are not on a stock tune. before you go though, you can revert back to stock and they won't know the difference.
edit: is that a stage II dyno?

I don't have hp tuners I was going to have it dyno tuned so no way I can save it.
Stage 2 with an Injen cai. Is that if you swap back to their tune or can not tell at all.

I was thinking the dyno might be wrong but don't really want to pay for another to find out and to lazy to put in an air fuel meter even though I have one sitting around for my truck.
The tune can be adjusted to make better use of the fuel, lean it out, and the GM techs would never know. The only way they would know is if you told them. Your wallet will benefit too since you'll get better gas mileage. Although it'll cost a little bit to get it set right, dyno time, in the beginning. This make sense..??
Very interesting thread. I always wondered the same thing. My main question about all this is: Can a proffessinal tuner use hp tuners and tune a GM Stage II car with other bolt ons to gain more hp torq and still be safe?
