Impotance of a DP

I was just wondering how important a good DP is when modding. I have GM stg2, GM shorty header,GM exhaust, and CAI. Is a DP gona make much of an improvement performace wise and also sound wise? Just wondering cause i got my x-mas bonus from work so i got an xtra 500$ to spend on some mods.

buy the stage 3.

by freeing up the exhaust you will help each mod achieve better gains overall. I did header and DP early and have seen better gains from each mod then other people ever since.

The stock b-pipe is the weakest link in the chain. Think of it like a garden hose with a small kink in it. Straighten out the kink and the water flows smoothly with much more velocity. Not only is the stock cat restreictive, but the stock b-pipe narrows down to 2" at it's most restrictive part.

Yes, it'l be much louder though - it's the price you pay for performance.

I can attest to the importance of a DP, I have performance cams in my car now and the intake cam is the more agrressive of the two, anyways its just bringing in the air and I can't get it out quick enough
