I have mine set to 12MM.

The Ingalls by itself will not get rid of all wheel hop. It is only 1 piece of the puzzle.

The CAB's, and tranny mounts/bushings added to the Ingalls will give zero hop.

The shorter the length setting (10mm is shortest) will stiffen the car even more. The longer, the softer it gets. I set mine at 13mm, and haven't had many problems. I haven't ripped out of 1st get from a dead stop though as of yet. I may stiffent it up more, but as other have said, this is one piece to it. You really should get tranny mounts, motor mounts, CABs, etc.

Also, no, it should be be installed on an angle. There are adjustments on the torque damper to make sure the holes line up paralell and that the torque damper is straight....

Didn't you guys read the instructions and warranty provided? If it breaks under improper adjustment, your warranty for the damper is voided.
