Injector install, Plugs??

Alright my injectors should come today. In the how to they drained the gas out of the feul rail when changing the injectors.

My questions is do you have to fill it back up, or, do you have to let the fuel pump run (key in on position) for 30 secs or so to get pressure back?

Does it just bleed of the air on it's own?

Should I just stick them in w/o draining it?

Or, should I do what the how to says, hoping it sorts itself out, and stop being a paranoid **** always worrying about it.

Also, is it alright to run stock plugs on 2.79 in w/ 60's. I have some NGK's coming but I might get the part before the plugs, should I not drive it untill I get the plugs??

when you turn the key it primes the fuel pump. Also you can use the scrader valve to realease fuel pressure. and is not air your draining it GAS so dont smoke while you doing it !!!!

It'll be fine. Just install the new injectors, and it will prime itself when you go to start it. It may take a sec to start, but you should be fine

This is an abbreviated version.

To drain/relieve the pressure in the fuel rail do this.
Pop the cover off the fuse panel under the hood.
Remove the fuel pump fuse (look on the underside of the fuse panel top). Remember where it goes.
Start the car
Let it die
Remove the fuel rail, relieve the pressure by the schader valve, remove the injectors & replace.
Replace the fuel rail.
Reinstall the fuel pump fuse.
Start the car, checking for leaks from the injectors.

plugs
plugs, remove the cover.
use a 10mm wrench for the plug screws
remove the plugs
replace plugs, use anti-seize
torque to 15ft/lbs
tighten plug screws
replace cover

Thanks, but, I really need to know if the stock plugs will work or if I should take the other car to get the NGK's. I am in fear of some spark blowout wiht the stock plugs. Should I just not drive it untill I get the NGk's???

The best bet is to not drive it till the new plugs get in....I had a 2.9 on with stock plugs and the ran like total ****....so I let it sit till I got the new plugs a couple days later....it is best to safe than sorry.....IMO
