There is a huge debate on it, and you would be safer running the 42# with an average tune than running the 60# with most of those tunes out there.

If you get 60# injectors you need a REALLY good tune.

Just be warned that there are a lot of companies out there that offer tunes for the 60# and none are safe, or reliable that I have seen. You really have to have the car custom tuned by someone who knows what they are doing, and can spend about 2-3 different sessions tuning your car on the street. You shouldn't use any "canned" tunes, because the 60# tunes should be custom if you really want to enjoy them and be safe.

I don't mean to confuse you, but you will need someone who has HPTuners, and actually knows what they are doing. If they have never tuned a Cobalt successfully with 60# injectors, walk away from them. Don't be a ginuea pig if you aren't comfortable being one. I have tuned about 15 SS with 60#'s, and no 2 cars are the same. A tune that works perfect on one car can honestly blow the motor in the hands of another driver. No 2 drivers treat their car the same either.

Just do not buy a mail order tune for your car, and try to stay away from "performance shops" who think because they can tune a V8 that they can tune a cobalt. Our cars are like no other in the way that they behave, and logic will only get you so far. The rest is trial and error. And a dyno tune will not make a good street car in most cases.

you basicly have to know someone that has the software to hook their laptop into your cars computer and adjust stuff. any tune that you get by hooking a box you buy from a company and flashing your cars computer most likely wont be good enough for 60 pounders.

edit: whoops, someone posted pretty much what i ment to say already
