Injen Added Today What to expect.

So i finally got my Injen intake yesterday and put it on this morning. Took a little rip in the car and was definately impressed with the throttle response through 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear. Supercharger whine is way louder than before as well.

So my questions is should i expect any gains overall in my powerband since my dp is restrictive and still on a stock exhaust.

Heading back to the track tonight to run it where my previous best was a 13.9 in the middle of the afternoon. Mods so far are just a GM2 and Injen.

Will keep everyone posted

Intakes on the lsj generally add 7-10hp. I have the Injen intake, but had a few different ones before it. To be honest I didnt feel much of a change between any of them. Def. do some exhaust upgrades. The lsj responds very well to exhaust mods, because that's where most of the restriction exists.

I'm Stock but I've heard alot of good things about the pacesetter header, its also supra cheap

So I'm assuming the Intakes only mess with the SS/TC fuel trims?

So here is what i posted from that night in the Drag Racing Section:

So i added my injen intake this morning cause i knew i would be heading to the track tonight. Definately noticed a difference during the day and was looking forward to hitting the track tonight. Last time i went i was running a average of 13.9 to 14.2 and was just under 100mph.

Ran a 13.9 all night and could not get out of it. Finally it started to get a little colder and my last run was the best.
Car is just a GM Stage 2 with a Injen Intake.
R/T .459
60' 2.096
330 5.825
1/8 8.856
MPH 80.56
1000 11.477
1/4 13.677
MPH 102.81

Looking forward to getting my exhaust and header next.

I am jealous of your times. I have much more than you and can only net a 14.3 at best. What am I doing wrong? I will admit I have completely bald tires. I also have the Injen intake, I want to trade it out for a 3" one day.

Did it come with something to put around the hole that goes from the engine bay into the wheel well? Just wondering if Injen is doing that now since my first one got a hole rubbed into it.

less mods could also mean he's not spinning the tires off the line as much alot of people can't hook till late 2nd

Yeah when i launch at 2k-2 1/2 k i dont have much tire spin if any at all. They are lowered to about 20 to 22psi in the front so that might be hurting me up top a little.

And i would assume the car is putting around 250 to the ground or so. No way i can run those times in my car if its not around there. Calculators i know are not accurate but it put it at 249 wheels and 311 flywheel.

Here is my slip:

Here is the 14.0 run with tirespin:

Here is the 13.6 run:

All depends on where i launch at. As you can see on the 14.0 vid i launched at 3k and i spin way to much.

Knock it down to 2k and launch and i get almost no tirespin.

Ya if i launch my car at 2k it will ROAST the tires. I was launching at 1250-1500 on my stock tires at the track. Any more and the car would just sit and spin

I asked about this recently. Should be ok. I'm stock except for intake, and I'm running a flat 12 A/F at WOT. I think GM stg2 on these runs like 10.7? So it should help by leaning out the pig rich tune of GM stg 2.
