Injen intake with hole in it

Hey guys, I've had my injen cai on for more than 5 or 6 months, and the fitment was great. Until yesterday, that is, when i noticed that at the top of the intake a hole is beginning to be worn out from the bracket that holds the hood strut in place.

is this a common problem? is there a fix???

When you get your New 1>> The Bracket thats Holds it in place in the Fender Well,, Has be adjusted so that does Not happen! I just got my Intake replaced still have to send back the old 1! <<< They Charged me a 50 dollar Deposit till I send back my Old 1! <<< This would have been Fine IF>>>The 1 they sent me Fit! I had to make My Bracket 1 inch Longer than what Injen Did!
Simply Straighten out the Bracket on the Intake & Bend it again where you Need it! Mine Clears very good Now>> I closed my Hood & adjusted it till It Cleared everything then Mounted it!

Thats cool the will replace it...sounds like Injen needs to mod the bracket then. Is it included in the instructions that this might happen? I'm looking at getting one soon too, so I want to make sure this doesn't happen to me as well.

I had some fitment and rubbing issues.

So my fix was goto walmart and get their weathertape. Its foamy and will compress nicely. Just line any place that its rubbing with it and BAM! Fixed!

Mine hit, but I adjusted it by lowering the racket in the fender as low it would go. No more issue now.

OF Couse it >>>Didn't, I Fit it myself! Its got a 1/4 inch all the way around! The pass threw the Body & My roof Clears TO >>>But if you dont have a Torque Brace Like Ingalls it could be a Problem!
When getting on it the engine Torques Back & the Intake Moves Up & Down it will Must Likely RUB A Little!

Thats awesome info, I am putting my Ingall's TD on first, then my intake. Those are the first two mods I'm buying.
