JBP Vortex is the way to go! I bought one for my SS/SC and its amazing.
I gained 13HP on the dyno! And I have had NO CEL! I just put it in, drove around like a grandma for about 20 minutes to let the computer recognize the newly installed equipment, then drove it hard!
The sound will beat out Injen in a heart beat. My friend has the Injen, and I have the JBP Vortex and you can definatly tell the difference.
You can feel a difference in the top end RPM HP range. The boost through 2nd gear is much quicker and you get going alot faster and easier, and throughout the reat of the gears!
Take it from me, get the JBP, you will extremely satisfied!
The style is the best to me. The links do look a little "iffy", but it works well and is easy to install yourself. It styles up the engine nicely.

He has JBP, I went with Injen. I am still waiting on mine to be delivered. I'll take some pics when it comes it. I haven't seen the JBP. I have seen the K&N and it looks sharp. Either way, the performance gains are slight between the Injen, JBP and K&N. The looks are probably the biggest difference. I have a friend with the K&N and I'll take some pics of his and post those. This way, you'll get to see the difference. I'll try and take some video so you can hear what the difference is between the K&N and Injen. Now if someone with the JBP would do the same it'll help out a lot more people. There may already be a link somewhere, it's just a matter of posting it again. I will say this, the intake makes the whine louder....it's nice. That'll be another selling factor for some people.

What I'd like to know is what makes the JBP intake comparable to the Injen. The Injen is apparently tuned to keep a stable A/F ratio (would like to see this tech), but what is so special about the JBP that keep a code from popping up?
anyone?
anyone?

Then I don't get how JBP can gain 13hp while K&N is 8hp. That's a 5 hp difference. That's a lot. If it were like 2 to 3 hp then it wouldn't be much. To the guy that bought the JBP intake, the price was $269.10 (ouch imo but willing to spend that money foolishly) Did that inclue shipping or did you have to pay for shipping? If you had to pay for shipping i'm just going to go with Injen.

It just came out about 1-2 weeks ago. The Injen is suppose to get us 17hp/16 ft lbs of tq and maintain a steady A/F Ratio with their MR Technology which no one knows what it does. But who cares! As long as the CEL doesn't come on. The MR Technology does something so we can take full advantage of what the intake is capable of.

Most companies BS there HP numbers all so people like will read " +17HP " and run out and buy it.
Rarely will something provide a nice addition across the board, most numbers are simple addition of peak numbers.

I went from 216.5 to 219.9 with the Injen intake installed. They might have gotten an increase of 17hp but I didn't see it. It sounds good and look greats.
Here is a link to the other thread with the dyno charts. They are 4th gear pulls.

First i have th injen intake and love it...
But the injen website DOES NOT show a 17 hp gain at the peak numbers shown on the dyno chart...it shows 12 at the peak.
Here is the dyno...
As you can see it goes from 208 to 220, which last time i checked was 12. The 17 occurs somewhere else...

I love the Injen too....
Interesting...look at there dyno sheet and mine...there's comes down at 5500 and mine is still climbing. Mine shows that I could go higher if the rev limiter didn't stop it......Either way...they got 220 and so did I..well 219.9 and thats close enough

i have it already and am not biased either. the gains are incredible, but get this, get the drill handy to make your MAF screw holes! other than that... killer intake, nice look and sound.
