Unhappy Installed stage 3 and now no spark

Hey guys,

New here. Owned the Slowbolt a few weeks now. Ran great until yesterday when I installed a ZZP Stage 3 kit on her.

There is now no spark. I have read a few threads about this exact problem where someone did some work to their SS and then there was no spark, but there were no resolutions in the threads that I read.

Things I have tried:
Check for spark with a tool you plug into boot. No spark on any cylinder.
Checked all the fuses.
Swapped out ignition relay.
Scanner shows RPM during cranking so probably not crank sensor.
Put noid lights on injector harnesses because I read if an injector wasn't firing it would shut down spark. All injectors are firing.
Checked ground to ignition harness.
Checked oil pressure because I thought there might be a failsafe in the case of an oil pressure drop

There is constant power to one wire of the ignition harness and a good ground. However there is no signal or trigger power there while cranking.

Hopefully someone can toss me some ideas that I haven't thought of or maybe a trouble tree. It is frustrating because I am ready to do some boost pulls with the new upgrades, but now she won't start.

I didn't really replace anything in the ignition system other than the kit spark plugs and they were virtually identical to the previous ones. The kit was a reduction pulley for the supercharger, a new intercooler, new cooling plate on the side of the intake, etc.

what method did you use for the tune? did you get a pcm sent to you with the kit, or did you use hp tuners yourself to flash the tune?

If you did a PCM swap have you tried putting the old PCM back in? It sounds like it is likely a PCM problem.

Resolved

Okay guys,

We got this no spark issue figured out.

First I will say the car had a ZZP ECM in it when I bought it. We did not do an ECM swap with the stage upgrade.

The problem turned out to be that the terminal end on a ground came off. There are supposed to be 2 grounds on one stud and there were more like 5 or 6 added to that stud over time and one of the original ring terminal ends had come loose from a necessary ground. It probably got bumped taking the supercharger off.

We had a good ground at the ignition harness, but further looking there was still a ground problem at the stud off engine trans bolt.

Thanks for the input. Hopefully I don't need tech assistance again anytime soon.

Stage 3 should have been injectors also...... did you not retune for the other injectors?

I have had both sets of injectors in. I am planning on a tuning session at ZZP sometime in the next few months. I have the 60# injectors out right now until I go to the dyno.
