Intake fitment issues

I am looking at either the K&N Typhoon air intake or the Injen. I am just wondering, which of these has the least fitment issues? For those who have them only please.

Both fit fine now... Back in the day the INJEN had some fitment issues. I have the INJEN on my 2.0L and it fit perfect.

Just put Injen on mine. I researched alot and the gains/fitment seemed equal on each. Had a CEL come on about 100 miles after install and then unplugged battery to let everything reset. Havn't had any problems for a few weeks now.

don't know if you got one yet, but I just installed my injen. They give you a rubber spacer that makes it fit right. Otherwise, the hood will not shut; other than that it fits ok, but not great. It still doesn't fit firmly and wiggles some.

I don't know if anyone posted this, but the direction with Injen suck. It says take off the bumper, but this part is a waste of time. If you get it just unbolt the driver side covers underneath and the fog light. That is all I needed to move.

So far, I get about 8 degrees cooler with it on. 12hp @ 3,500 rpm, faster gain and more stable boost by like 4%. I am very satisfied. Install can be done in under 20 minutes. I wasted 2 hours playing around with my bumper, definately skip that step and anything else it tells you to remove other than the old filter parts.

I chose the Injen because I think the flow path is better and I could get it in black. Be sure the lower mount is as low as it can go to ensure the intake won't get hit when you shut the hood. Also watch out for the bolt that sticks out in the engine bay. If not positioned right the intake will hit it and rub a hole fairly quickly. I just got my car back from the dealership and they moved the intake and almost ruined it because it rubbed on the bolt. I added a rubber to the bolt and repositioned it to correct the problem.

I have heard the K&N fits better.
