intake, IMO the are pretty much the same, not much, due you plan on building your car?

you could always put one of those tornado things in the intake and make soomee seriously power.. ahaah

read that..

The injen one (that says 16hp) rates at the flywheel, not the wheels, so its the same as the others..

And yes, slobalt is right... they all are pretty much the same. the AEM is half of an intake (and for its price, not worth it).

If your planning on doing porting work, and a larger throttle body, the raw 3" intake will be better, because it will allow for more air flow for the ported parts. OTT (a bad ass vendor on here) is offering one soon as well..

that's the one. you can get it on ebay for .37 cents plus 29.99 s&h

seriously, though. To the OP. HP from an intake really isn't a problem. No matter what the claims, you really won't gain enough to worry which one to get. Look more closely at which one has gotten good reviews, repels water, doesn't rub in the wheel well, etc. The point of an intake is just the first step in making your car breathe properly. You really won't gain too much from it.

An intake just opens the door a little bit wider for the SC...

theres plenty more things you could think about, the stage 2 kit from GM is nice.

Over the top performance's stage 1 kit is better, and just about the same price.

To clear things up, the 16 HP gain from Injen was shown at the wheels. Dyno was 100% stock VS just a Injen Intake.

We have them in stock at the best price around.

injen stated themselves it was rated at flywheel.

Also had several local shops around the area tell me the same.

Keep in mind all HP claims are not from the highest HP spot in teh powerband, but the spot in the powerband that showed the most increase. Like stock you may see 150whp at 3500rpms and 215 at 6500rpms, with the intake you may see 160whp at 3500rpms and 220 at 6500rpms. So you will not be at 230whp with just an intake, just gain more throughout different parts of the powerband.

Most intakes are the same thing, just a pipe. They all show around the same gains. The main thing you get from teh intake is the whine.
