i've got ordered a k&n cai and looking forward to putting that on. the question is how tricky is putting on the new kit? i've heard mixed opinions. I know it depends on skill or what not but just kinda wondering. let me know what ya'll think

doesn't take any skill at all. there's no reason why anybody can't do it themselves. very basic hand tools and the vast, intense knowledge of "righty tighty lefty loosey" is all you need.

you remove the wheel well lining, so you remove the wheel as well, then rip the old crap out of there , and the new peice will slip through the hole from the bottom, and connect to the pipe in the engine bay

X2!! The hardest part for me was getting the car far enough off the ground to make working on it reasonably comfortable.

Yup, get the car off the ground with enough room for you to comfortably be in the wheel well basically, remove the wheel, the inner fender lining, and there isn't to much to it just make sure you are gentle with the MAF sensor, and install the MAF correctly the when reinsalling it! Other than that it is pretty easy!

when i intalled my typhoon i found the hardest part was positioning it. i tightned the L bracked first (which the instructions said to do) but then once that is tight you cant get the opening to fit into the supercharger correctly. overall very easy install. and fitment is perfect, make sure you leave all the bolts loose and tighten the intake onto the supercharger before tightening the l clamp.

It will not be hard, but don't rush though. Be careful with the MAF as said above. Remember, if it doesn't fit, don't force it.

Also, remember to break your lug nuts loose with the car still on the ground, and the same way for tightening them back up.

I got the same CAI....just bolt it up from the bottom first. THEN connect it to the engine. If you try to do it from the engine down you will have a fitment issue. I tried it that way and the Z bracket was off by like 3-4 inches. There is a nice write up in the HOW-TO section on here. The wheel well lining was the hardest part, for me anyway... I know I missed a few screws puttin it back..
