Intake Manifold Model/Cut-away
Does anyone have a 3D model of the S/C intake manifold?
Even if you have a cutaway layout of the manifold that would be helpfull.
Any inside dimensions would be great too if you have that.

Models, dimensions, etc, nope.
This might be a good start though:

De mentions on the ports to the laminova cores are approximately 15mm in the middle tapering down to 12-13mm on the sides.

*** According to Opcon ***
Those ports should be at least 15mm wide up to 18mm depending on air flow.

Thanks guys. This will be a good start. I hope to make a 3d model of the intake but I may not have to if I can get things calculated and figured out a different way.

I guess my next step is to get a used intake manifold, make some more detailed measurements so I can have more accurate calculations and see what I can do.

Omega5 tuned my car but I haven't talked to him about his intake modifications. I also hope to talk to Flatgod as well about his custom intake with the killer chiller as well. His set up is pretty complicated though. I was hoping to make something a little more simple.

Have any of you guys seen this? I heard some of the svt cobra guys run this Design Engineering DEI 080110 - DEI Air Intake Charge Cooler Kits - Overview - SummitRacing.com

That looks interesting. It looks as though the bulb was desinged pretty well to reduce its restriction in the intake tube. It could also be grafted into an intake either stock or aftermarked as they make 2.5" and 3" variants. My only issue with it is that I would have to run liquid CO2 in the car and I don't think I am allowed to run that type of system while Autocrossing.
For this to work for me I would have to run a setup that would automatically run the CO2 given a temperature reading close to the bulb so that I don't have to worry about monitoring the system and make sure that it is at its optimal temperature to cool the charge air. With this type of control I would run through a lot of CO2!
In some ways, I am leaning towards a system design that would not require me to fill or recharge it in order to keep it working and cooling the charge air. I woudl like to design something that is always on so if I deside to run hard, I don't have to play with a bunch of things.

Well I have an extra manifold now so I can start to modify it in the fall here. I want to do a single pass and open up the lamnova cores a little bit. I will have to source some of the other parts and get a chance to sit down and get some calculations done to figure out the other half of the system.
