Intake Manifold question
Intake Manifold question
So, as some of you may know, I'm supercharging my LS soon...very soon infact. However, I had one question about the manifold. On the top of the manifold, there is a little stem there which i am assuming is leading from the inside of the manifold so I can hook up a mechanical boost gauge there. However, to the left of that, there is a rather large hole with a screw hole next to it. Is this for the MAP/IAT2 sensor on the SS? If so, I can just plug it as I am getting my PSI from the stem which will be going to both a mechanical boost gauge and my AEM FIC. Since my ECU wouldnt even understand the second IAT sensor, that is also useless to me. Effectively, I can move the IAT1 sensor (the only one on a LS) to that location assuming they are the same size, which i doubt, or just plug it. However, this is allm assuming that that hole is indeed for the map/IAT2 sensor. Can anyone help me out here?
can you show a pic or grab one off someones gallery? Ill be able to tell ya something by looking at it
on the left is the map sensor and coolant port
on the right is the intake pressure
on the left is the map sensor and coolant port
on the right is the intake pressure

this picture is the stem I was talking about which i believe is for a boost gauge or other MAP sensing unit to hook up to. The hole I'm referring to is just to the left of it (not in picture, just cut out)
sorry this is the only pic i could find
