intake question?

i was told by a shop today that an intake wouldnt add any noticable power to my car, right now what i have is full exhaust.

they said that there isnt much power differnce between any of the brands, all it is, is a pipe with a cap on it, the only thing that can make a differnce is the way it takes in the air at the tip.

IF THIS IS TRUE:... i'll buy from them, they can make me one for 250$ stainless steel, which head/cap should i buy?

make sure it's a 3" and what they say is somewhat true, they all make similar amounts of power, but they do make power. Your butt dyno has to be crazy sensitive to feel it, but you will notice much better throttle response.

you'll see/feel a LITTLE better low end torque, but really an intake is a piece of the puzzel. It will help make power in the big picture, but it doesnt do a hell of alot by its self.

im eventually gonna have methanol injection, will i have to drill a hole in the intake, or is it unrelated, is there any filters that stand out from the rest, who should i get the hydro cover from?

All the hydroshields are about the same. And when you go with Meth injection, go with the progressive kit and you can get a TB space to tap into so you don't have to drill a hole into your intake for the nozzle.
