Cut the stock one its the best IMO. I cut mine and bolted on a open k&n cone filter with a 3inch opening. Beats paying 230 for a aftermarket one and the intake is burried so chances of taking it to the dealer and them seeing you cut it is pretty slim(looks stock under hood). Sounds awsome and its helped. Of course the biggest thing is makes the blower louder. I have stage 2 and havent gotten a check engine lite like everyone is talking about. I havent had time to scan it with HP either to see if its running rich or lean either.

Go Injen for the intake. Best quality out there. K&N isn't bad either.

The only way an Intake can void your warranty is if they can prove it was the intake that caused the problem.

Hope that helps. Happy Purchasing!

i cut the stock one, seems like its the same thing to me, cept the aluminum on aftermarket intakes might make it a little louder than the plastic, but between the two you might see one or two HP diff lol

The only thing that would have its warranty voided would be any part you modified. If anything goes wrong down the line it is their responsibility to PROVE that your modification caused the problem. If they give you any trouble about it just mention the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. I would suggest that you familiarize yourself with it also.

Im going with AEM since they have the oil-less filter which is less of a mess and headache to clean and change and does not void the warantee!

I've got one and have been code free for about 4,500 miles now. At first I got one because the filter was improperly oiled and was getting oil on the MAF. After it was cleaned and oiled properly, no codes. Even at heavy throttle for extended periods or under WOT during hard acceleration, no codes.

I talked to my dealer directly yesterday he said intakes DO NOT void the warranty unless it messes up your MAF somehow (which is pretty rare... )

He actually TOLD ME to get one lol

I just got mine today too, and the install took a little longer than I expected but the sound is way worth it! Im happy. K&N or Injen or Fugita are all good.
