intense pcm case learn?
intense pcm case learn?
well i have searched and could not find anything about this... i was reading on intese's website and under the pcm section is says that after a mail order pcm is installed that there must be a "Crankshaft Position Variation Learn procedure" done... i was wondering if anyone on here had to have this done or if there is something that i am missing.

its not that easy, most dealers will not do it, since u only want a case learn and not full tune, maybe theyll erase your current setting so you have to be clear to them about your car being custom and such so most wont touch a custom car.

Just go to the dealer, tell them you have a new ECU in the car and you need the crankshaft position relearn procedure done. It will take them about 10-20 minutes. I was charged a half hour labor. It's a very easy process and I can't see why any of them would decline to do it.

I do case learns on my own cars. I work at a dealership and I sneak off with the GM Tech 2, and you have to have a CANdi Module on it too. Just select your year, our car is an "A" when the next question pops up, and then we are the 2.0L LSJ. Now you go to drivetrain, and then locate the Variable Case position learn or something like that. I could almost to is in mysleep. It is super super easy! You just need the Tech 2 AND the CANdi module.
Once you get to this menu, it takes like 5 seconds to do the case learn. You turn the car to on, set the parking brake push the brake pedal, start the car, rev the car til it hits the limiter, and back off and turn off and unplug the scanner.
Don't take it to a Chevy dealer, try a pontiac dealer so they won't care about why you did anything to your car.
