Seems like there are alot of you guys from Arizona on here looking for a tune.
Just a thought but what if say a bunch of you got together and bought the HPT and split the cost of a tune, then shared the log file?

If you use that shop you won't need anything close to 8 hours of tuning time. You already have the INTENSE PCM and thats a really good base to use if you have additional mods, like a CAI. So going to that place they can get it tuned in 2 hours if they have a general understanding of tuning with HP Tuners.

A wideband sensor and something to monitor knock retard is of the utmost importance when modifying the fuel curve in any way. I was running a 2.85" pully and 42.5lb/hr injectors with a cai and used a maf-t to tune the car. I used the common C 1 setting recommended by intense and the car seemed to run ok. After installing a wideband I noticed afr's in the low ten's at wot!!! I am not sure if this is what Intense recommends to be a good afr at wot, but I changed my maf-t setting so my afr's are mid to high 11's during wot. I urge all of you who are modding the car to be careful and have the proper monitoring tools to be safe.

rusty i am running same set up wut did u change your maf t settings to

when buying parts of this caliber it is always a wise move to contact the vendor and/or an expert in the area. especially with new cars such as ours, testing is limited and our pcm's are very touch. be careful when modding!

I was wondering if the intense pcm still has issues? Because I was debating
GM stage 2 with 2.8"
Intense Stage 4
also possibly doing just the airbox mod

Everything with my car has settled back down and running fine...now I'm more worried about losing coolant through the IC cores in the intake manifold.

Why bigger injectors? It already comes with the 60lb injectors. The Stage 4 is everything on the Stage 5 except the ported s/c. Just get the stage 4 but swap it for a 2.6" pulley...

Or order everything in the Stage 5, minus the s/c in other words. I don't think the tune between the Stage 4 and 5 are different, just pulley and ported s/c. They will switch the pulley for ya though at no different cost because any pulley is the same price.

Nope...I think the cores in the intake manifold are slightly cracked allowing it to leak out into the engine because there are no leaks anywhere else. There is only 1 car that has had this problem and a couple that are going back and forth to the dealership for them to diagnose what it is but think it is the same thing.

Nothing related to any of the kits though.

Oh sorry I ment it comes with bigger injectors 60's where as the the GM stage 2 comes with 42's so if for example if i did go with 2.5 i wouldnt have to reinvest in new ones

Im not sure if this problem deals with the Intense PCM or What but its really starting to **** me off....I cant even idle my car for more than 2-3 min or els it wants to die. Im not sure if its flooding it self or WTF. It just starts to idle all crazy and when i try to rev it it just starts to back fire and the boost gage is going all cazy. It happend to me already like 5 times, even if i try to turn off the car and turn it back on, it stays the same. I have to turn off the car and go disconect my battery and reconect it, than it runs ok. Its so Fn imbareising. I cant even go through a F**kn drive thru.

How long do you disconnect the battery? I heard if you disconnect it for like 10 minutes it clears the problem up rather well.

Also, don't see how it could be flooding because I know they were tuned with stock intakes on the cars, but with you having a CAI on that would do the opposite, wouldn't it?

Thats what i would think. Im really starting to think that i wasted my money on this PCM. Ya i did feel a big performance diff, but with all the little problems im not to sure if its worth it.

if im not mistaking intense has an option on there stage kits to select if u have a stock intake or a cai. it also gives u options of what brand cai u have. if u have a cai i would suggest when u get ur pcm tuned threw them that u select what kind of intake u have.

I didn't buy a stage kit. I just bought the PCM by it self, and none of those options were available when i bought mine.

if you're having all kinds of issues, why not get in touch with them and see what can be done about the situation.

Yea as far as I know Intense has great customer service. You will probly have to send it back for a reflash. I didn't know they have tunes to work with CAIs now?!
