Intense stage 4 help

I need to know if an average joe can install this kit without any special tools (ie. an engine lift etc...). What will I need besides what comes in the package and how long does it take? Thanks!

its a cake walk, the pulley is the hardest part. if you have access to a press i would use that if not get the tool. nothing else is needed really, have fun, youll love it when you are done.

good to hear...I've never done fuel injectors before...but it's sounds like it all should be easy enough. Any last words of advice? any pics?

yea. some fuel may leak out.....keep a rag over your manifold. Also make sure you put the right amount of sc oil in the sc.

No instructions..... But if you can take the stuff off......you'll be able to put it on. It's almost stupid proof. Torque Spark plugs to 18-21 ft/lbs w/ 35" gap. and I forgot the torque specs of the s/c. do a search and you find out. AHHH yea.....I'm lucky working as a mechanic in the Army so I have access to almost any tool so getting a torque wrench was easy......so if YOU have to buy one.......$$$!!! (about $75). So start talking to friends to see if they have one. If you need more help with this and hate chatting.....PM me and I'll give you my Cell #.

Is the Intense Stage 5 kit just a plug and play also? Do I need to get a tune from the dealer or a reflash is that what the MAFT is for? Ive been reading back and forth on cobaltss.net and .com as much and cant seem to find str8 answers but this thread is helping alot.

I just read it comes with a PCM not a MAFT, anyone direct me to the differences and how these work or if they need additional tuning. I guess how is it that you guys did this before I do.

I just learned that the MAFT is needed when using race fuel. I like this site. Ive learned a crap load in just 4 days of having the car.

you don't refill the s/c it is supposed to be filled with the amount that is needed for the life of it.

you need to fill it if you are replacing the snout with a machined snout... the bottle of sc oil that intense gives u in the kit is exactly the gm stuff and it takes exactly 100ml and no more! or else u won't have a good seal with the snout and the blower. and make sure u use the gasket maker from gm.. that stuff works awesome
