intense stg3 ?'s

ok i have everything included in the intense stg3 package for my car. and i need a tune to install my 42.5lb injectors and 2.9in pulley. and any custom tuning in my area is no longer availibe from a reliable source. so my question is for anyone with the stg3 kit or anyone who has had experince with it. how safe is this tune? their a/f map for the dyno chart on their website looks pretty good and safe running 11.5 a/f at wot. so my question is what do you guys think of this tune/setup?

plz no one suggest running the gm stg3 pcm i have already weighed that option and dont like the disadvantages i.e. $400 bux and no ac this is my daily driver and an almost new vehicle i would like to retain my factory ac.

When I got stage 4 installed and tuned, Scott, the owner/tuner said they recommend having your factory airbox because most CAI seem to mess with their mail order tune. I would say its pretty reliable but I would recommend getting a Aeroforce scan gauge and a wideband A/F gauge just to be safe. I would e-mail Scott directly and he should be able to answer any/all your questions. Could always give them a call too 614-873-6499

Plan on geting hp tuners, if you plan on adding a cai, header, or any other bolt-ons.

The tune should be ok, but you'll need gauges to monitor. If it were me, I'd sell the 42.5's and 2.9" pulley, replace them with 60lb injectors and a 2.6-2.7" pulley, and then install them with a tune. You'll be much happier. The majority of the people who do a pulley with 42.5's end up going bigger anyway, so save yourself the money and do it now. Just my opinion, of course.

i got 60lb injectors and a 2.9 for the future. The tune is ok. but i do have a lean CEL from my CAI. I think i need a finer tune though. But thats not Intenses fault.

yeah i was thinking about running 60lbers and a 2.8 with a tag racecraft tune. and i have a stock airbox wih just the bottom removed and a clamp on replacement k&n filter. i did'nt hack the box all up like some people have that is just a waste.i would'nt really want to run a pulley smaller than a 2.8 anyway since then the blower will just be a heat monster. i dont really plan on doing any more work to the car after the 2.9 and 42.5lbers anyway this is just my daily driver if i want to scare the crap out of myself i will just head up to the track with my 91 lx notch mustang drag car. so i dont really want to spend the money for hp tuners since this is all i plan on doing. maybe i shoud get a 2.8 and 60lbers with a tag racecraft tune. atleast i would never have to worry about leaning out.
