stage 3 ss vs. acr srt?

i ran a couple of srt's last monday, and one of them was an acr. when the guys approached me to race they were making comments like " it ain't so fancy", and i knew who was gonna win considering my car is stock.

so, i took a buddy with me to get it on video 'cause it was a real big deal to everyone at the meet i was at. first run, they get the jump and pull about two cars immediately, but it stayed that way. no one pulled! second run, a black srt joined in and jumped a whole honk and between the three of us it was the same run except we were suckin him up.

here's the good part! a friend of mine works with one of there buddies, and they're runnin around sayin that the cobalt ss aint sh*t. now, i have no choice but to buy the intense stage 3 kit and try to shut these guys up. i dont know if anyone on here with the stage 3 kit has run an acr but i will put the vid of both races for everyone to witness. this is no joke, i will buy the kit friday and find these guys again...i didnt think their stage 2 to my stock was very impressive at all.

if anyone has experienced stg3 ss vs acr srt-4 please share!

The srt stock is a driver race. a intense stage 3 vs and srt stage 2 WITH NO EXHAUST MODS will be an equal race...if it has stage 2 plus any other mods you will be smoked...srt with stage 3 dont even try.

My buddies 03 srt with stage 1(basically up to 04+ performance level), 3"dp, 2.5" mopar exhaust, intake, mopar bov, motor mounts runs 13.3 @ 107-108...see why I said dont try if it has exhaust mods mixed with any mopar stages

though I'll be racing it within a week with an intense stage 3...ill try and video it too.

the intense kit adds about 50-60whp...i think it will be a little more than two cars worth, don't you? and why is ur buddy bottle-necking his exhaust on a turbo car?

are there any dallas ss/sc's that might wanna attend this meet?

Well when he bought the car that is what was on it...also I saw a srt with stage 3 and some other stuff run a 11.23@122 with that same catback...I thought it was a bottle neck until I saw that in person lol.

only things really special about the acr is the seats, the lighter and smaller wheels, and i think the shocks are different.

I love those cars but I hate them also at the same time. They don't know how to stay down.

Yeah dude, a turbo back exhaust for an srt4 can gain 25-30 whp. If i bought one instead of the ss, I would have like 310 whp right about now instead of my *estimated* 220 whp. (Intake and Exhaust)

intake and exhaust didnt give my supra 310 how the hell would it give an srt-4 310? this isn't a neon bashing thread, i want to know if ne one has experienced this race before i do. so, someone who HAS the stage 3 and HAS raced an acr give me input.

easy no it doesn't. 10-15whp on a stock one if there lucky. And yes i've been to dyno's with plenty of them so I've seen it. IMO cold air, exhaust srt-4's run like stock.

This is a fun thread. You guys keep your cool about bashing more than the SRT guys. Everybody's different. I won't add too much to this discussion except for that, because after all, I don't have a fast car at all! SRT's and S/C SS's

Staged 2 srts Arent really what they are cracked up to be...Stg 1 can put down more power with less money then getting the STG 2....Just so u know....also a reason why SRT's gain soo much power from the exhaust modification is because of how the stock exhaust is set up....next time u see a SRT check out the exhaust from under the car....U will realize why it soo restrictive!
