long definition short they tell the little onboard computer which setting to use. and trust me take it off and try it out and i can almost gaurantee you that it will work as it should after that. if it doesn't then there is something else wrong.

Okay. I will give it a shot tomorrow. Hopefully this works. This is probably something that I should not have waited a year to do. Lol

lol. ya give it a shot. like i said as long as you are using the correct empty fuse slot, take the jumper off and have everything crimped and connected properly it should work fine. if not then i can't really help you anymore from here. mind you beverly hills sounds kinda nice this time of year

Yea, down here is Florida it was a chilling 82 degrees today... If the gulf was a little warmer I probably would have went jetskiing. Lol. I remember the cold though from when I lived up in New York, 2 blizzard

Anyway, I will connect the interceptor straight to the battery first, to test and make sure it works, then once it works (hopefully) I will connect it to the fuse I have set up. I will keep you posted. Thanks for the help, by the way.

add a fuse actually adds a power wire into that fuse that you "replace"

yeah i learned the hard way. Ran it through the firewall then had the remove it because i had to diagnos an elec problem. A fellow member told me about the fuse panel inside the car. Took a whole 10 mins to reinstall the interceptor and rund the power.

Thank you guys for all the help. After 1 year, it finally works. Lol. It turns out it was that little red jumper that was stopping it the whole time. I took that off, and since then it has been running like it is supposed to.

its to switch between using power from the obdII and direct power but they worded it backwards in the manual.

hahaha i bet you are. the first 2 that i installed for some buddy's of mine took me 2 days to completely figure out all the little qwerks the interceptors have. like how they are picky about their power source and that little jumper.

Yea. I now see that. It took me a little to figure out how to get the Cyclic scan to work. The first time I went to set it, I ignored where it said screen 1 / field 1 and such and was wondering why I couldnt get out of any of the menus. Lol

just make sure you use empty fuse slot 22. there is a little diaghram on the panel that you pull off that shows you the location of it.
