Did you enter you YOUR car's weight after having it weighed without you in it and also factored in your weight+the car's weight? My interceptor's were just about spot on once i factored in weight, It said i had about 240-255ish hp from 6-7k And my IRL pulled on other IRLS that had more work done!
Nowhere did I see in the instructions nor my gauge where I can enter my vehical's weight.
However, the Correction factor applies both to the HP and the MPG settings. Leave the
MPG (instant not average) displayed for several gas tanks and monitor your actualy gas
milage, and what the interceptor says your getting on the average setting. (Interceptor only averages / computes averge when instant is displayed ) Then use this formual
Correction Factor = 100*(Actual Gas Milage / Reported Gas Milage by intercetpros average setting)
Example:
You compute based on Milage, and gallons of gas top offs that you get 30mpg
Interceptor average says you get 60mpg average
30/60 = 0.5
0.5 * 100 = 50
You Enter
050 for your correction factor.
Correct your MPG and it should give you fairly close to what your HP is. Keep in mind even dynos don't have accurate HP readouts. Otherwise the
same car would read the same HP on each dyno.
The correction factor is basicly a multiplyer that runs by %
It multiplies your MPG and your HP by this same number.
100 = 100% = * 1
50 = 50% = * 0.5
