Interceptor "Turbo Timer"???

SO I just installed my LSD tranny along with my new Interceptor. I start her up and let it run for a few minutes while I set up what stuff I want the Interceptor to display... and I also watch how fast my new Autometer Boost Gauge reacts to the throttle. WOW... get rid of that Stock boost gauge. I'll post vids later...

ANYWAY, so I let her run for a while... make sure that the trans will spin the wheelsd, yada yada yada... and then I turn the key off and pull the key out...........

...but the car continues to run. It continued to run for a good 10 seconds afterwards.

That's weird. I don't remember ever reading about the interceptor doing this. SO I start it up again and then turn it off and remove the key... this time it only stays running for about 3-5 seconds. SOOOOO, Now I am worried... and excited at the same time.

SO, does autometer have a turbo timer feature in there somewhere now? Or did I **** something up on the install of the trans (I wouldn't think I could screw something up that would make the car continue to run... but I did take the top off of the fuse box, fyi.)

Input appreciated

Disconnected the battery's negative... let her sit for 10 minutes. Hooked up the cable, started her up... ran her for a while again while I screwed with my Interceptor, and then I turned it off and removed the key. Still running. She shut down shortly after.

And I need to rewire my gauges. Evidentially, even though the stock boost gauge turned off with the key... the power was still there. I hate wiring. I have no idea what I'm doing.

I think you F-ed up with the wires and somehow the interceptors capacitors is keeping your car running..

Not good for the interceptor.

I'll have to unplug the OBD2 and try it again. That'll rule some stuff out. It's strange in that all the dash goes dead like normal. Hmmmmmm.

if wiring of the stock gauge isnt cutting it you could always put an add a fuse into the sunroof spot and go from there

Had this problem too... It is not a turbo timer, just remove the red jumper from the back of the gauge and it will fix THAT problem.

If you continue to have problems you will have to find another power source. I still have yet to wire mine right (lazy...) but the jumper fixed that issue.

Okay... so we left the negative on the battery so that we could check power with an Voltmeter or whatever it is.

The Stock Boost Gauge spot is good. We aren't exactly sure of the problem, but... we had all three power wires on 1 eyelet connected to the stock wire. We disconnected the power to all the gauges from the stock boost wire... and all three gauges STAYED ON. Our guess is that the interceptor was pulling power from the OBD2. So we took the power wires off of the Interceptor.

The Other 2 gauges then responded to the key, as we liked... but the interceptor wouldn't come on. SOOOO... we plugged the power for the interceptor back onto the eyelet... just as we had it originally... and now they all work fine.

SO i don't know what it's deal was.

Have you taken the jumper off the back of the gauge?
