Intercooler??

Is it possible to get a front mount intercooler in the cobalt. I was thinkin it would prolly be better than a h/e but i'm not sure. How would you install a new intercooler, does anyone have any ideas?

the supercharger bolts on to the intake mani so it would only be possibable to do if you fab'd up an adapter plate to sit in between the intake and supercharger, with some kind of outlet (to fmic) and inlet (back to stock intake). If it would even work. alky inj would be alot easer and cost effective imo.

This would only be feasible if we had a roots setup where the supercharger isn't mounted directly to the intake manifold and was actually plumbed to the throttle body. I guess it's possible but it wouldn't be worth it, plus I've never seen it if that tells you something.

so what you're saying is, a centrifugal supercharger. like a procharger, powerdyne, or vortec supercharger.

Yeah, but there are also roots setups that have the roots blower offset to the engine with a pipe that goes to the throttle body.

The CA front mount is a h.e. not an actual intercooler.
