Intercooler connection
Intercooler connection
Okay -- so I'm having an hell of a good time with these cheap intercooler pumps that they put on our cars. Mine is doing the same as everyone else's...BUT, it's not the pump having issues. It's the connector. Whenever I play with it, it will turn the pump on and off. I went ahead and ordered another pump just in case, and will probably replace it.
Here's my main problem...that connector on the pump, it's a pain in the ass. It's bent on the bottom metal spring pin thing. When I squeeze them together, the top will pop off, but bottom won't. If I bend the **** out of it to get this thing disconnected, do they sell those metal spring things anywhere? I don't want to break it if I can't replace it.
Any input is appreciated!

just cut it and put your own butt connects or solder it together....the plug doesn't effect the operation, it's only there so that if you have to replace it you don't have to cut the lines, but it's just as easy to put your own connections on there.
You can also buy new weather pack connectors and use those instead if you want to make sure it's waterproofed.

My guess is that when I was removing the intake manifold, I pulled on the pump to get it out of the way and it stretched the connector.
