So your telling me a CAI is a waste of money? A small shot of juice on a coolerless system is a waste of money? Your telling, all of us, that cooler and denser air on a intake that is so damn hot the fuel predetonates before it even reaches the cylinders is a waste of money?

Dude an intercooler, or aftercooler is the singlemost important mod to a high performance engine that uses forced induction. Keeping the compressed air's temp down is crutial. If you look at a stock supra, (I know we aren't runnig supra's but its' a good example) Or even better a silvia / 240 (Same setup diff car) The best mod to do is to switch form a side mount intercooler system, to a front mount system that has a LARGER CAPACITY. HP gains on these cars is aroudn 20% with no other mod if the system is a large quality piece. That means going from 300 to 360 WHP with no extra boost. And no extra fuel. ALl because the air intake charge is desner and they dont' have to tune in extra fuel to cool the intake charge. (Yes fuel does cool a motor, that's why a 2 stroke running around in the dunes jets the carbs two sizes or so richer than what is ideal)

Pointless right now it kinda might be, but after they start swapping pulleys it's vital to keep the inatke charge temp as low as possible. Or the resulting explosion inside the intake makes them feel like a fool. A now broek fool with an empty pocket as ther cobalt gets a new engine. Off warrenty.

The heat exchanger LFP is working in will be thicker, larger cooling passage tubes, more cooling fins, larger tanks. Along the lines of their EXtreme performance heat exchanger they have been offering the Cobra, Lightning community for several years. Two versions will be made. A single pass and a dual pass.
I hope to receive one of their proto's in a few weeks.

Alright I guess I'll drop a line on something I plan for the future. Fluidyne makes a nice 3 pass upgrade for the Mustang Cobra. It should work greak for our setup too. All that is need are some brackets to get it in there properly which should be easy for me to fab up.
