intercooler pump fixed
intercooler pump fixed
Just changed my ic pump on the lsj, idk if it was just so low on coolant it didn circulate or if it was just worn out. We took it off and it sounded like it had a little flow but nothing id expect it to have
I did some reading and found out bilge pumps may work?? So today I went down to ds hull and got me a spiffy johnson 500gph 12v pump. Its a little smaller than the stocker and didn't bolt up to the stock bracket, but it did have the 90° flow pattern and did flow the correct way.
Installation was smooth but we had to bust out some cable ties to put it on the cross member since it didnt fit in the bracket. We are going to fab a piece to make it bolt up sometime soon (actually prob. Never but by saying this I don't look lazy.. lol)
So far it flows great, it hasn't had any true full pull testing on it yet, . I will test it out tonite and see how it performs
I seen that the stock pump was mounted right next to the oil pan, a heat source, maybe it can be moved to the empty fender well on the passengers side of the engine compartment, it wont take much work, a few feet of hose and some clamps. I lnow these don't shatout that often, but if it does have to be replaced itl be a simple bolt on, not requiring getting under the car
Any thoughts? Sorry if this is in another thread already
if someone tells me how to post pics I will
