Intercooler Pump Help!

Hey guys the other day I left my place to take a cross country drive to California. Left Illinois and started the drive. Anyways im pretty sure that my IC Pump is on its way out. It was about 35 degrees outside at night and my iat2's were roughly 140 and higher. This was while i had cruise control on at 80mph in 5th gear at 3k rpm's.

I remember back in the day my iat2's were 20-30 no more then 40degrees above ambient. I have all the cooling mods besides the killer chiller.

Heres the thing though, to me it seems like its going on and off. Example I can cruise around for a bit and do a few very hard pulls and not have it go above 130, and then I will be cruising around the iat2's will drop and then while continuing to cruise they will just sky rocket like the IC Pump turned off.

Does this seem like my IC Pump is on its way out? Can anyone show me a pic of where the pump is located so I can hit it and possibly "knock the metal shavings off". Let me know whats up because I won't drive my car if my iat2's get to high. Thanks.

IC pump is under the car, below the blower you will see 2 heater tube connections on it and looks like picture shown.

I couldn't even hear mine when it was running, just take the cap off and whack the plastic end until it starts to bubble and flow.

Thanks I appreciate it. I wasn't sure where it was located. My exhaust is a little loud so with the car running its hard to hear it whine. With hptuners would I be able to force it on and off and hear it that way? I will crawl under the car and see if I can't hit it. It's under the supercharger correct?

its at the bottom, you can't miss it, just follow the hoses and hit the plastic end

not hard enough to do any damage to the housing though

Called the dealership and there going to take a look at it tomorrow morning, even possibly give me a rental car while its being worked on. He "thinks" it "might" be covered under the 60k mile power train warranty but hes not sure.

I can't get far enough under the car to hit the ic pump with a hammer unless I jack it up or put it on some stands and I don't have either of those out here in California. Anyways I will keep you guys updated and letcha know how things go.

I'm going to try and force the pump on and off a few times with hptuners to see if it does anything, probably not, but we can only hope.

Did it turn on when you had the key turned in the "on" position?

Unless you changed the parameter with HPT, the engine has to be running for at least 10 seconds for the pump to kick on.

To force it on in HPT take the current tune on your car, and go to Engine -> Torque Management -> Supercharger and change the ERT Min to 0 sec then flash it. This is the only way HPT can command on your pump (there's a button on the VCM scanner but it doesn't work). Just flash it back to 10 seconds when you're done testing.
