Interesting Clutch issue, any ideas?
Ok, I had another post about my clutch issue, but here is the current situation with back story.
Installed an Exedy Hypersingle kit in my car with a new slave cylinder.
We screwed up the little pipe that the distribution block connects to, and it was leaking a bit.
Car was driven less then 70 miles in this condition, then we dropped the transmission, and replaced the pipe.
There was no brake fluid anywhere near the pressure plate, everything was dry around there.
Re-assembled, bled, and used a mirror to look into the transmission through that plastic cover, and couldn't see any leaking.
Drove the car home. Clutch pedal was soft/hard sometimes, and after the car was stopped for awhile, I couldn't shift into 1st or reverse, but if I go to second, I can then go to either. I can keep driving normally as long as it hasn't sat for awhile.
We re-bled the clutch, and there was air in the line. Seemed fine (btw, the reservoir has never dropped that I can tell, and nothing seems to be leaking from the car).
Same issues with the driveability.
re-bled the clutch again last night, no air came out this time, and car still has the exact same issue.
Any thoughts on this?
Oh ya, we are always manually bleeding the clutch.

I have no idea what is wrong, but this type of thing is what makes me want to hold off on switching my clutch. My clutch is holding up fine so far, no issues at all, never slips etc. But we will see how she does at the track with the 50shot this spring.

getting the air out of the lines is tricky sometimes after you bleed them. i havent done it on a clutch yet but when i did brakes on my vr6 it would seem like i had all of the air out then it would start acting up again. i guess i will find out on the 16th. me and a buddy are going to be doing the clutch on his 07 ss/sc.

I believe i replaced that. It was leaking where the distribution blocked clicked onto the nipple, we pulled the transmission, and replaced that little pipe/nipple thing. I am pretty sure thats what you are talking about, let me know if thats what you are talking about.

Turns out something is still leaking, and it appears to be inside the transmission, so likely the slave cylinder.
Yay, get to pull the transmission again...
