Angry s/c pulley wont come off

i used a smoothflow pulley puller, the pulley wouldnt budge worth ****. so i took it to a local speed shop that does s/c's. they just called me an told me the pulley wont budge even with heating it up and using there puller. so he said they could just cut the stock pulley in half and take it off that way, i told him go right ahead. so my question is did anyone else have this problem takin there stock pulley off?

I've done over 200 and haven't come across one that I couldn't get off. It it seems like it just won't budge any more, use a hammer and give the backing plate a few whacks and it should break loose. Make sure that you don't keep hitting it in the same spot though, rotate it so the force is spaced around the pulley so it doesn't get canted.

With nates puller, its possible to do with out taking it off...

2 things though...

if you put too much pulling or pushing force, you can damage gaskets and some other things.

and its not that hard to take the s/c off...

i think i remember a thread about one of the guys who got the GM stage 2 installed by the GM mechanics, and when he went to pick it up they gave him the stock pulley back, but it was bend and warped to hell because of them trying to get it off.
